End of the month

Whaddaya know, it’s the end of the month! And my last entry was dayssss ago! But not to worry for something new is coming up! haha..

Going blind

Iya’s concept on being deaf…

“mama! the neighbors are so noisy! i’m going blind!”

nyahaha…

“mama, i was calling and calling you! you did not hear me? are you blind!??”

Hubby and I can only laugh. She does know what being blind means… but not being able to hear, iba ng usapan yun! lol! maybe she just forgot that the term she should use is deaf

Hello 2009!

And finally…i’ve decided to ressurect my blog from the dead! lol!

So how have you all been?…umm..the 4,5 readers i have? nyahaha… as you can see the layout of my blog changed and that was my mistake. i was just browsing through looking for a new template..i haven’t really decided on anything but i accidentally clicked the apply button instead of the preview. and i could not for the life of me remember how i found the old template. i can’t see it on the list of samples.. 

 

A lot of things have changed since my last post. I now have a healthy 5month old baby My darling Sofia has been such a great big sister! ….and so now I really have to change the title of my blog. But can’t quite decide on a title yet. I’m even thinking if I should make a new blog all together. Oh well…you’ll be informed soon enough. But for the mean time i’ll still use this blog.

 

We’re not in Israel anymore. Came back home last year. And now we are in the united states of barack obama hehe… Arrived 2nd wk of march. Hmm..it’s been a month na din pala…

 

I’ll try to update this blog as often as i can. So sorry i’ve been busy and lazy at the same time. :p

Father’s Day

Iya made this poster for her papa and daddy (she calls her grandpa, daddy)

She wrote all of them I just dictated the letters. She also drew a picture of her with the two most important men in her life (the one wearing glasses is her daddy)

She also made a separate drawing of our family

p.s. the drawing on the 1st pic, below daddy’s name, is a plate (without color), cake (the red one) and candles accdg to her lol!

Busy Bee…

I know, i know… haven’t blogged since we arrived back home…hehe and for that i am truly sorry. Friends have been asking about updates. It’s just that since we arrived we had to deal with a lot of things… and tomorrow’s gonna be my (college) bestfriend’s wedding! I hope i’ll have decent enough pictures to post. Coz my mom’s gonna be the photographer since Iya and I are part of the entourage and daddy’s gonna be busy handling the camcorder

So that’s it for now. Just wanted friends to know i’m still alive

and oh..belated Happy Mom’s Day to all mothers out there. I almost had a happy day but was ruined by this effing dense lady where i had my gown altered. Now that’s a different post all together!

On going back home…

Well this is it… Iya and I are going home for good… goodbye Israel sniff… I’m gonna miss our apartment here, rent/utilities free kasi lol! imagine not having to worry about bills! hehehe… seriously, Haifa has been our home away from home. I’m gonna miss the nice weather, the nearby beach, our nice neighbor, zara (dahil dito lang ako nakaka afford bumili lalo na pag may sale!) and ikea… nyahaha… I’ll miss seeing the beautiful Israelis..guys and gals alike.

Iya’s gonna miss the beach the most and the playground/park too. Not that we don’t have beaches at home ofcourse. Kaso lang you’d have to travel pa really far to be able to go to a nice, clean beach. Whereas here it’s just a couple of minutes away, free pa! Mediterranean sea pa yun!

But she is totally excited na din coz she misses her pink bike with kring kring badly!! And ofcourse going to school for the 1st time! She said she can’t wait to play with daddy and mommy (her grandparents) and her 2 tita’s. And she’s gonna be flowergirl to her Ninang Karen’s wedding soon! So many things to look forward to! It’s gonna be a really hectic first 2 weeks for us once we get back. And ofcourse looking forward to get in touch with old friends again and i’m excited to meet my online friends too! (see you guys soon!!!)

I still haven’t finished packing…that’s me!

Missing her Papa

Hubby’s been really busy at work. Monday night Iya went to bed without seeing him since he arrived really late. When she woke up the ff day he was at work already (hubby didn’t want to disturb the princess’ sleep) prompting her to tell or rather ask “mama, did papa go home already? then he went to work again while i’m sleeping?” and she checked the other room hoping her papa was there. So that night after dinner this was what she told me:

“mama, i’m going to sleep here in the sofa. so that when papa doorbells, i will wake up”

Unfortunately hubby arrived late again. But she did manage to wake up early and see him this morning. She missed him so much. Good thing he arrived early from work today too. You should’ve heard her scream! she was sooo excited! “look mama, it’s PAPAAAAAAA!” with matching hug and kisses! Kala mo talaga ilang taon ng hindi nagkita!

When it was time for her to go to bed she wanted hubby to go up with her. But hubby was infront of his laptop doing some work. And I couldn’t blame Iya when we heard her exclaiming in dismay

“but papa… you already work in the office. stop working now it’s time to go to bed”

sigh… it’s really heartbreaking… and she’s only 4. We just keep explaining to her why papa has to work a lot etc.

Hubby feels guilty ofcourse. He does give Iya a call everyday from work asking how she is and she’d gladly tell him what she was doing the time he called. Sabay sumbong na din yun if ever napagalitan ko sya that day or whatever. Funny lang, she knows that papa goes to work every single day..but still when she answers the phone the 1st thing she’ll ask is

“papa, where are you?”

While waiting for my turn at the doctor’s office, i brought with me iya’s workbook so she won’t get bored. I was telling her the instructions when she suddenly asked why she had to do that particular activity. And i answered it’s coz that’s what the book said. To which she replied with a question mark on her face:

“mama… the book cannot talk!>…”

I saw this clip from chuvaness’ blog and I have to admit that I got so touched I cried! Maybe because i’m a mother too and I can’t imagine being away from my daughter…

I watched the above clip with iya. It’s a show called Britain’s Got Talent. When the camera focused on Simon, iya suddenly blurted out with glee:

“it’s american idol! i love american idol!!” lol!!

Kasi nga naman Simon = american idol. hehehe..

Happy Birthday, Princess!

Four years ago today, I became a mother. Our Little princess was born 4:54am at St. Luke’s medical center. And we gave her the name Frances Sofia. Frances is latin for the word free and Sofia means wisdom. I chose the spelling Sofia versus Sophia. Since Sophia was common already and you pronounce it with an f sound anyway I didn’t like Sophie/Sofi for a nickname coz some pronounce it as “soapy”. lol! so we just settled for iya.

She was the 1st grandchild on both sides so everyone was excited! It wasn’t until a week later that we got to bring her home but it was worth the wait. I went to the nursery everyday after I got discharged to breast feed her.

After that, time really did fly! She’s quite tall for her age especially when she was younger. When we 1st arrived here nobody believed when I told them that my daughter was only 2 1/2 yrs old. A lot of people asked since she stood out, being asian and cute at that! hehehe…

And today she is four! It’s funny coz she’s more excited about turning 5! When we told her she’s turning 4 already she said “and then next time i will turn 5, and I can skate!!” Hubby and I laughed ‘coz she remembered that she can only skate when she’s 5. We brought her before to SM MOA and she got so mesmerized watching kids skate. She told us she wanted to skate! But when we inquired we were told that they only allow kids 5 and up. And so we told her she has to wait until she’s 5.

Our only wish is for her to grow up healthy and happy. She has brought tremendous joy to our family and to people around her. And i’m hoping she’ll be a good Ate
